Come on you Spurs. Painted early in the 2015-16 season, Tottenham Hotspur went on to have one of the best patches in decades. I'm not claiming this had anything to do with it, nor me visiting The Lane late last year after painting this...but it may have had something to do with it. The paint sketch is a little janky, but it packs mojo and reminds me of good times when creating things.

I became aware of the club as a kid via Klinsmann and Linneker, and the fandom was solidified during a term abroad in uni. Defoe, Townsend, and Azza had their haters, but it was cool seeing the shorter dudes getting a chance. I found myself gravitating to the North London locals at SOAS, and in particular those that followed Spurs. They are good people. We played some quality football together as well. (I can't brag but apparently the uni side won promotion that season. Goals were scored, assists were made. Nice1, bruvva).

Acrylic on canvasboard. Completed in 2015.
