Four on Six

So, I participated in my first art show last weekend. I displayed some of my favorite pieces from the past couple of years, including this jazzy number, "Four on Six: Thank you Wes Mongtomery." Inspired by one of my favorite guitar players, and riffs, I let loose on the canvas in a jazzy manner.

Ferry to Bainbridge (island)

Many of my favorite places in America happen to be on the West Coast, specifically north of wine country. From the Redwood forests up to the Puget Sound, I just find things to be more awesome and less stressful out there. On a ferry trip to Bainbridge Island with my wife, I could only take in the colors. This is pretty much what Seattle, the water, and the mountains look like on a sunny day, to me at least.

Untitled, 2018

Breaking free of some usual forms, I just wanted to put paint on canvas and avoid too many restrictions. Also, I found a new friend in my parchment-colored paints. Blue makes an appearance, per usual. It's a common theme, or something.
